1. INDIVIDU

Merupakan kesatuan yang terbatas yaitu sebagai manusia perseorangan yang saling berinteraksi satu sama lain hingga membentuk suatu masyarakat.

Pengertian Individu menurut para ahli :

® Menurut Hartono , individu adalah seorang menusia yang tidak hanya memiliki peranan khas dari dalam lingkungan sosialnya, melainkan juga mempunyai kepribadian serta pola tingkah laku spesifik dirinya.

® Menurut Virniagusta, individu adalah suatu sebutan yang dapat dipakai untuk menyatakan suatu kesatuan yang paling kecil.

Ciri-ciri :

· Unit terkecil pembentuk masyarakat

· Memiliki cirri khas yang berbeda (bentuk fisik, kepribadian, bakat, cara bergaul, dll)

· Memiliki keunikan tersendiri

Aspek :

Contoh : Anak, istri, suami, ayah, ibu

2. KELUARGA

Merupakan satuan social terkecil dalam masyarakat, terbentuk akibat adanya ikatan pernikahan yang terdiri dari beberapa individu.

Pengertian Keluarga menurut para ahli :

® Menurut Bussard and Ball, keluarga merupakan lingkungan social yang sangat dekat hubungannya dengan seseorang.

® Menurut WHO, keluarga adalah anggota rumah tangga yang saling berhubungan melalui tali darah, adopsi/ pernikahan.

® Menurut Emile Durkheim, keluarga adalah lembaga social sebagai hasil faktor-faktor politik, ekonomi, dan keluarga.

® Menurut Bailon and Maglaya, keluarga adalah dua atau lebih individu yang hidup dalam satu rumah tangga karena adanya hubungan darah, perkawinan/ adopsi.

Bentuk :

Ciri-ciri :

· Adanya kebersamaan

· Dasar-dasar emosional

· Pengaruh perkembangan

· Ukurannya terbatas

· Posisi inti dalam struktur social

· Aturan kemasyarakatan

· Memiliki sifat kekekalan dan kesementaraan

Contoh : Keluarga Pak Tono terdiri atas Bapak Tono, Ibu Eni, Mahda, dan Aulia.

3. KELOMPOK SOSIAL

Merupakan suatu kumpulan orang-orang yang mempunyai hibingan dan saling berinteraksi satu sama lain dan dapat mengakibatkan tumbuhnya perasaan bersama.

Terbentuknya suaru kelompok social karena adanya naluri manusia yang selalu ingin hidup bersama.

Terbentuk melalui proses interaksi dan proses social.

Pengertian Kelompok Sosial menurut para ahli :

® Menurut Paul B. Horton, kelompok social sebagai kumpulan manusia yang memiliki kesadaran akan keanggotaannya saling berinteraksi.

® Menurut Josep S. Roucek S. Warren, kelompok social adalah suatu kelompok yang meliputi dua atau lebih manusia yang diantaranya mereka terdapat beberapa pola interaksi yang dapat dipahami oleh para anggotanya/ orang lain secara keseluruhan.

® Menurut Hendropuspito, kelompok social adalah suatu kelompok nyata/ teratur dan tetap dari individu yang melaksanakan perannya secara berkaitan guna mencapai tujuan bersama.

Menurut Soerjono Soekonto, kelompok social memiliki ciri-ciri sebagai berikut :

· Setiap anggota kelompok harus sadar bahwa dia merupakan sebagian dari kelompok yang bersangkutan

· Ada factor yang dimiliki bersama

· Berstruktur, berkaidah, dan punya pola perilaku

· Bersistem dan berproses

Ciri-ciri utama kelompok social :

· Terdapat dorongan/ motif yang sama pada individu yang menyebabkan terjadinya interaksi

· Terdapat akibat interaksi yang berlainan terhadap individu

· Pembentukan dan penegasan struktur yang jelas dan terdiri atas peranan dan kedudukan hierarkis yang lambat laun berkembang

· Terjadinya penegasan dan pengaruh norma-norma pedoman.

Jenis-jenis kelompok social :

∆ In group and Out group

∆ Primary group and Secondary group

∆ Gemeinschaft and Gesellschaft

∆ Formal group and informal group

∆ Masyarakat pedesaan dan Masyarakat perkotaan

∆ Kelompok social tidak teratur (Contoh : Kerumunan public)

Contoh : Sekolah, RT, Regu Pramuka

4. MASYARAKAT

Merupakan sekelompok individu yang mempunyai hubungan, memiliki kepentingan bersama dan memiliki budaya serta menempati suatu wilayah tertentu.

Pengertian Masyarakat menurut para ahli :

® Menurut Selo Soemardjan, masyarakat yaitu orang-orang yang hidup bersama yang menghasilkan kebudayaan.

® Menurut Emile Durkheim, masyarakat merupakan suatu kenyataan objektif pribadi-pribadi yang merupakan anggotanya.

® Menurut Gillin J. P. Gillin, masyarakat adalah kelompok manusia yang tersebar mempunyai kebiasaan, tradisi, sikap, dan perasaan persatuan yang sama.

® Menurut Koentjaraningrat, masyarakat adalah kesatuan hidup manusia yang berinteraksi menurut suatu system adat istiadat tertentu yang bersifat continue dan terikat oleh suatu rasa identitas tertentu.

Menurut Abu Ahmadi, masyarakat mempunyai cirri-ciri sebagai berikut :

· Ada sekumpulan banyak orang

· Menetap di daerah tertentu

· Ada aturan yang fungsinya mengatur kelompok manusia itu

Ciri-ciri :

· Manusia yang hidup berkelompok

· Melahirkan kebudayaan

· Mengalami perubahan

· Berinteraksi

· Terdapat kepemimpinan

· Stratifikasi social

Contoh : Masyarakat Kota Magelang, Masyarakat Perum Banjar Permai, Masyarakat Tegalrejo dsb.

Once upon a time there lived an unhappy young girl. Her mother was dead and her father had married a widow with two daughters. Her stepmother didn't like her one little bit. She had to work hard all day. Only when evening came was she allowed to sit for a while by the fire, near the cinders. That’s why everybody called her Cinderella.

Cinderella used to spend long hours all alone talking to the cat. The cat said, “Miaow“, which really meant, “Cheer up! You have something neither of your stepsisters has and that is beauty.” It was quite true. Cinderella, even dressed in old rags, was a lovely girl. While her stepsisters always clumsy, lumpy and ugly and always would be.

One day, beautiful new dresses arrived at the house. A ball was to be held at the palace and the stepsisters were getting ready to go. Cinderella didn't even dare ask if she could go too. She knew very well what the answer would be “NO”. Cinderella sighed, “Oh dear, I'm so unhappy!” and the cat murmured “Miaow.”

Suddenly something amazing happened. As Cinderella was sitting all alone, there was a burst of light and a fairy appeared. “Don't be alarmed, Cinderella,” said the fairy. “I know you would love to go to the ball. And so you shall!” “How can I, dressed in rags? The servants will turn me away!”

The fairy smiled. With a flick of her magic wand Cinderella found herself wearing the most beautiful dress and shoes she had ever seen. The fairy says “get me a pumpkin and seven mice!” Cinderella soon returned with the pumpkin and seven mice. With a flick of the magic wand the pumpkin turned into a sparkling coach and the mice became six white horses.

“You shall go to the ball Cinderella. But remember! You must leave at midnight. That is when my spell ends. Do you understand?” Cinderella smiled and said, “Yes, I understand!”

Cinderella had a wonderful time at the ball until she heard the first stroke of midnight! She remembered what the fairy had said, and without a word of goodbye she slipped from the Prince’s arms and ran down the steps. As she ran she lost one of her slippers, if the last stroke of midnight were to sound... oh... what a disaster that would be! Out she fled and vanished into the night.

The Prince, who was now madly in love with her, picked up the slipper and said to his ministers, “Go and search everywhere for the girl whose foot this slipper fits. I will never be content until I find her!” So the ministers tried the slipper on the foot of every girl in the land until only Cinderella was left.

“That awful untidy girl simply cannot have been at the ball,” snapped the stepmother. “Tell the Prince he ought to marry one of my two daughters! Can't you see how ugly Cinderella is?”

But, to everyone’s amazement, the shoe fitted perfectly.

Suddenly the fairy appeared and waved her magic wand. In a flash, Cinderella appeared in a splendid dress, shining with youth and beauty. Her stepmother and stepsisters gaped at her in amazement, and the ministers said, “Come with us Cinderella! The Prince is waiting for you.“

So Cinderella married the Prince and lived happily forever after. As for the cat, he just said “Miaow!”

MORAL VALUE: Don't worry about the tuff stuff in life, just tough it out and in the end you'll get something good..
